This role will be critical in helping to establish and manage BVNK’s U.S. 2nd line compliance function, supporting licensing efforts, regulatory reporting, and risk management while ensuring operational and product-level alignment with regulatory expectations.</p> <p>The Head of Compliance &amp; BSAO will work closely with our global compliance team, Legal, Product, Engineering, Operations, and senior leadership to ensure BVNK continues to grow in a compliant and scalable way. This role is ideal for a compliance leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, who strives for technological optimisation, and is ready to take on broader ownership and leadership responsibilities.</p> <h3><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Lead BVNK’s day-to-day U.S. compliance function and be the key point of contact for operational escalation compliance matters.</li> <li>Support the ongoing management of state Money Transmitter Licenses (MTLs) and NY Bitlicense, including renewals, exams, and reporting.</li> <li>Develop and refine ‘technology first’ compliance processes, controls, and documentation that meet U.S. federal and state regulatory expectations.</li> <li>Conduct risk assessments, oversee AML/sanctions processes, and ensure financial crime controls are embedded, effective, and continually optimised .</li> <li>Work with Product and Business teams to implement regulatory requirements into product development and customer onboarding flows.</li> <li>Assist in building relationships with U.S. regulators, law enforcement, and industry associations.</li> <li>Manage and coordinate ongoing state / multistate examinations</li> <li>Prepare and manage responses to audits and information requests.</li> <li>Collaborate with the global compliance and legal teams to ensure regulatory consistency across jurisdictions.</li> <li>Support commercial function by interfacing with key clients and partners to represent the compliance organization and describe BVNK’s compliance framework.</li> <li>Mentor junior compliance team members and support hiring as we scale U.S. operations.</li> <li>Provide regular compliance updates to senior leadership and participate in internal governance forums.</li> </ul> <h3><strong>What We’re Looking For</strong></h3> <ul> <li>5–8 years of experience in regulatory compliance or risk manag
