Users are repeatedly asked to verify themselves across different services, creating unnecessary friction, inconsistent outcomes, and degraded trust.</p> <p>Universal KYC (UKYC) is a new initiative to solve this problem by creating a <strong>single, reusable identity layer</strong> across MetaMask. At the centre of this is <strong>MetaMask Passport</strong>, a product designed to enable users to verify once and unlock multiple experiences across the MetaMask ecosystem.</p> <p>This role sits at the intersection of <strong>platform and product experience</strong>. You will define the primitives, standards, and user journeys that make identity verification seamless, privacy-conscious, and globally compliant.</p> <p> </p> <p><strong>What you’ll do</strong></p> <p>You will own the vision and roadmap for Universal KYC and MetaMask Passport, defining how a reusable identity layer unlocks the broader MetaMask product stack. You will build the underlying identity platform, creating scalable verification primitives and standards that can be adopted across products. In parallel, you will design a seamless, low-friction KYC experience that reduces time-to-first-transaction while maintaining compliance integrity. You will drive adoption across MetaMask by partnering closely with internal teams to integrate a consistent identity layer, while balancing privacy, trust, and global regulatory requirements. Throughout, you will lead execution end-to-end, aligning cross-functional teams and delivering measurable outcomes.</p> <p> </p> <p><strong>What we are looking for:</strong><strong><br></strong></p> <ul> <li>Proven experience building or scaling <strong>identity verification (IDV), KYC, or onboarding products</strong></li> <li>Strong background in <strong>fintech</strong>, ideally with exposure to <strong>Web3</strong></li> <li>Hands-on experience working with <strong>identity verification providers (IDV vendors)</strong> such as Sumsub, Veriff, Onfido, Persona, or Stripe Identity</li> <li>Familiarity with <strong>compliance workflows</strong>, including KYC, KYB, and customer due diligence (CDD) processes</li> <li>Track record of delivering <strong>platform products adopted across multiple teams</strong
