Backend Engineer - Unichain - Uniswap Labs Uniswap Labs is looking for a Backend Engineer who thrives in ambiguity and wants to own meaningful projects from start to finish, working alongside a talented team solving hard problems in blockchain infrastructure and distributed systems. This role is based in their SoHo, NYC headquarters with the option to be partially or fully remote. Responsibilities: - Own projects end-to-end: scope requirements, design systems, implement solutions, and monitor them in production - Write clean, well-tested Rust code and raise the bar through thoughtful code reviews Requirements: - 5+ years of backend engineering experience with a track record of shipping production systems - Experience building and operating distributed systems or blockchain infrastructure - Comfort with ambiguity: can take an unclear problem, break it down, and deliver results - Solid understanding of cloud architectures, system design, and debugging at scale - Experience building systems from scratch (0→1) and iterating on them over time - Genuine interest in Web3 and staying current with industry best practices Compensation: - Minimum full-time salary: $210,000–$232,000 - Company-paid medical, dental & vision, 401(k) with 4% employer contribution, annual $1,500 education stipend, unlimited PTO, up to 16 weeks paid parental leave
