What you'll do • Review the design and execution of the end-to-end SOX compliance roadmap, ensuring readiness for the first post-IPO audit cycle. • Establish a robust Internal Control over Financial Reporting (ICFR) framework, specifically mapping controls for high-volume crypto exchange transactions. • Partner with engineering teams to implement ITGCs and application controls across proprietary exchange infrastructure and cloud environments. • Conduct annual entity-level and process-level risk assessments to determine the scope of SOX testing based on financial materiality and crypto-specific risks. • Lead the identification, documentation, and remediation of control deficiencies. • Act as the primary liaison with external auditors to align on testing strategies, control reliance, and the interpretation of PCAOB standards. What you'll need • 10+ years of specialized experience in internal audit, SOX compliance, or risk management within the financial services or fintech sectors. • Proven track record of leading a SOX implementation for a listed public company or during a successful IPO. • Deep understanding of SOX and PCAOB requirements. • Practical experience auditing or designing controls for digital asset custody, blockchain protocols, and automated exchange matching engines. • Minimum of 5 years in a Big 4 Risk Advisory or Internal Audit practice, focusing on public company engagements.
