As a publicly traded company, Gemini is poised to accelerate this vision with greater scale, reach, and impact.</p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;"><strong>The Department: Invest/Trading</strong></span></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;"><strong>The Role: Staff Software Engineer (Frontend)</strong></span></p> <p>As a Staff Frontend Engineer, you’ll work with a cross-functional team of web, mobile, and backend engineers to help solve complex problems that will directly influence the direction of the digital asset space. As part of this role, you’ll help drive customer experience improvements to set us apart in the industry and build a world-class crypto exchange. If you get excited about solving technical challenges that directly impact our customers, clients, and the rest of the Gemini team, we’d love to hear from you.</p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;"><em>This role is required to be in person twice a week at our New York City, NY office.</em></span></p> <p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to design and deliver high-quality features on Gemini platform.</li> <li>Build efficient and reusable UI components and architect reliable, performant, and maintainable solutions. Review other software engineers’ code for correctness, style, and information security concerns.</li> <li>Own the DevOps lifecycle for a product; building, validating and maintaining high quality products through its lifetime.</li> <li>Provide technical input and knowledge to the planning, design, and requirements process for new products and features.</li> <li>Lead scoping and effort estimation exercises of complex initiatives, and lead tech debt management best practices.</li> <li>Mentor less tenured engineers and onboarding new team members.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Minimum Qualifications:</strong></p> <ul> <li>You have at least 8 years of experience building consumer-facing web applications at scale.</li> <li>You are comfortable working with JavaScript/Typescript.</li> <li>You are a React.js expert.</li> <li>You have knowledge of web best practices and stay informed about innovations in the web industry and the ability to bring in adoption for the same.</li> <li>You have a strong understanding of UX/UI concepts and a demonstrated record of design and product sensibility.</li> <li>You have the ability to work closely across global teams (and time-zones), across cross-functional stakeholders and manage inter dependencies.</li> <li>You have a customer and product-focused mindset, with the ability to make well-reasoned tradeoffs between speed and quality.</li> <li>You have the ability to adapt and handle multiple competing priorities in collaboration with peers.</li> <li>Deep understanding of Operational Excellence, Engineering Excellence and objective (data driven) decision making.</li> <li>You are skilled in eliminating manual touch points in SLDC.</li> <li>You have the expertise in automated testing - Unit, Integration and end-to-end.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Preferred Qualifications:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Experience working with performance analysis tooling.</li> <li>Experience influencing product decisions with data.</li> <li>Experience working with experimentation.</li> <li>Experience as a user of crypto pro
