Yei Finance is a decentralized, non-custodial money market protocol built on the Sei network, offering competitive yield and advanced risk management tools. As Senior Smart Contract & Backend Engineer, you will join the core development team to lead the design and implementation of our next-generation cross-chain lending protocol. Key Responsibilities: - Lead the design and implementation of smart contracts for the lending protocol with a focus on security and architecture - Develop critical off-chain services including liquidation bots, oracle integrations, and risk monitoring systems - Work closely with the product and research teams to translate protocol specifications into secure, production-ready code - Conduct internal code reviews and collaborate with external audit teams - Contribute to architecture decisions for cross-chain compatibility and scalability Requirements: - 5+ years of professional software engineering experience - Expert-level Solidity skills with deep understanding of EVM internals, gas optimization, and common exploit vectors - Experience building production DeFi protocols (lending, AMMs, staking) - Proficiency in off-chain backend services (Node.js, Go, or Python) for bot infrastructure - Strong understanding of DeFi security risks and mitigation strategies
